What Ati video card should I use?

I had an 8600gt that went bad. I have a 600w power supply. My motherboard has pci-express 16x, but not 2.0. Is there a decent Ati card that doesn't require any extra power connection. Possibly the equivalent to an 8600gt or better?|||it is not a problem of pci e 2 or 1
